Identifying geographical profiles of nutrition-epidemiological transition in Argentina

BACKGROUND AND AIM: Latin America has experienced major shifts over the last decades in its demographic, nutritional, and epidemiological profiles. While global trends patterns have been widely described, differences process of nutrition-epidemiological transition among within low- middle-income countries scarcely explained. This work aimed to identify different geographical profiles Argentina 2005-2019 period. METHODS: A nationwide ecological study was performed, using health statistics demographic information from official data sources about 24 units (provinces). Percentages change (2005-2019) selected epidemiological, indicators were estimated by geographic unit. Using a Principal Component Analysis coupled with Hierarchical Cluster Analysis, it identified clusters representing (NET) across Argentinean territory. RESULTS:Three NET (clusters) identified: 1)
